Erin's Stash #2 | A Super Dumb Super Mutant (Fallout)

Oh boy did I take advantage of Silver Canon's Fallout Fridays. We play the Arcane Arcade TTRPG every other Friday here, and I created the dumbest Fallout character build possible...literally!

The thought process behind my current Fallout character came from my own campaign that I wrote, "Orion's Logbook: The Fencrest Heist". Cap'n Orion is supposed to be this heroic and wise sheriff that's pretty damn charming. A man to be admired, really.

"As you and your fellow cowhands sit around a scarred wooden table, a tall, weathered figure strides in, his presence commanding the room. Dressed in a long duster coat and a wide-brimmed hat, he introduces himself as Captain Orion."

"Name's Captain Orion," he says, his voice like gravel. "You folks heard about the Chaos Emerald heisted from the local bank?"

Here's my Fallout version of Cap'n Orion:

"Cap'n"
"Cap'n"

Cap'n is a super mutant, and he's SUPERRR dumb. With a 0 on Intelligence as well as Perception, Cap'n is a gun and enemy-slinging MACHINE!

Most recently, I took "Living Weapon" to throw enemies at other enemies. It's hilarious! The first time I tried it out, I ended up throwing my in-game pet at an enemy to do some early damage and felt SO BAD because I learned "the thrown" actually takes half the damage they do...

Have you seen the Fallout Series? You know Cooper Howard, that cool cowboy? Cap'n absolutely idolizes him. The party found him wrangling up some mutated cattle with other super mutants. Cap'n believes wrangling animals is just what cowboys do, that's even how he got a dog! In his travels, Cap'n and his crew met a clown. This clown met an unfortunate end when Cap'n uh... Challenged her to a substance abuse competition. What Cap'n really wanted was to have her pass out and loot her. We can all imagine what actually happened.

BUT THE GOOD THING IS: In his little haze, Cap'n hallucinated and met Cooper Howard! Sadly, it was all just fiction for Cap'n, but it was very cool to RP out!

During the meeting with the clown in the sewers, Cap'n learned she used to work at a Nuka-Cola theme park! Oh nooo, the perfect excuse for me to talk about Nuka Land now!

Nuka Land is an unusual and chaotic location originally intended as an alternative to Nuka-World. Due to a partnership between Nuka-Cola and the general atomics cooperation, the park was outfitted with an experimental AI based on Cappy, Nuka-Cola’s iconic mascot, designed to run the entire facility—well, most of it. Over time, various factions have taken control of different sections of the park, leaving it fragmented.

Cappy, the AI, hires many grunts and raiders to reconnect his servers throughout the facility, attempting to regain control of the entire park. Essentially, Nuka Land is a scenario where the psychotic cartoon character AI is in charge of a theme park, resulting in a strange and unpredictable environment filled with both danger and dark humor.

The Nuka Clowns are a tragic and terrifying result of Cappy AI's experiments in the ruins of Nuka Land. These former raiders have been lobotomized and brainwashed, transformed into mindless enforcers dressed in garish clown makeup. Stripped of their free will, they patrol Nuka Land with erratic behavior, laughing uncontrollably while carrying out Cappy's twisted orders. Despite their appearance, they are dangerous opponents, driven by the AI’s commands.
